Workshops and Transformational Coaching: Doing Away with Stress
Enabling executives and staff at all levels to improve their focus, resilience, and health, thus enhancing morale, effectiveness and productivity.
Most of us have tried a range of stress management techniques, some work for us, some don't seem to make a lot of difference, or we forget to use them!
Workshops
90-minute to 3-hour workshops designed to help clients understand how stress is created in the body, what triggers it and to provide a range of practical strategies for transforming stress. These strategies enable individuals to feel calmer, think clearer and feel more energised and effective at work.
Imagine your whole team applying these techniques together…
Transformational Coaching
Focusing on creating new patterns of thinking and behaviour to shift out of patterns of stress, and into focus and energy. Putting you back in control of your effectiveness and enjoyment so that work flows easily.
Coaching may include any or all of the following:
- Identifying specific triggers for stress
- Clearing un-useful patterns
- Exploring any approaches to working and time management that may be contributing to stress or overwhelm
- Addressing any related issues around health, sleep and lifestyle
Transforming old stress patterns: changing automatic settings
How do we change patterns of stress in a wholesale way?
When we tie our shoelaces or sign our name, we normally do so automatically, without thinking about the specifics of our action because it's an unconscious programme that is running. 'Stress' responses run automatically in the same way. 'Stress' states are stored in adrenalin-based neural networks that establish over time. In the case of my clients, they are often accessing 'stressed' states routinely in various situations and this leads them to ask for help in changing their response to potential trigger situations.
Fortunately it's possible to collapse those adrenalin-based networks so that they no longer run automatically. As a result, when we are in what used to be 'trigger' situations, we automatically default to the most useful state available, such as feeling calm and clear headed. We can then consciously choose to activate those neural networks where and when it is appropriate and positive to do so such as when we are buzzing with the excitement of running after a kite or onto the sports field.
Coaching means clients are able to:
- De-construct stress pathways and automatically feel more at ease
- Remove trigger responses
- Easily leave work at work and enjoy downtime
- Enjoy increased energy and motivation
- Improve sleeping patterns and (lower) blood pressure
- Maintain and protect overall health.
It's not about managing stress, it's about transforming it
